From Hiphopgame.com:
On January 15th Columbia Records decided to drop eight staff members including president of urban music Kyambo "Hip Hop" Joshua. Kyambo is well known for his "Hip-Hop Since '78" management & production company which houses Kanye West, Lil' Wayne, Just Blaze, and Drake. The reason for the lay offs is not known but expected to be tied in with the recession.
Additionally the move may cause some heat in the Jim Jones and Clipse camps being that Kyambo was handling both of their next major releases.
